Removal Procedure
- Remove the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
- Remove the duct mounting screw (1).
- Remove the duct mounting screw (1).
- Remover the adapter duct screws (1,2).
- Remove the left side temperature sensor from the duct.
- Remove the duct.
Installation Procedure
- Install the duct.
- Install the adapter duct screws (1,2).
- Install the duct screw (1).
- Install the left side air temperature sensor into the duct.
- Install the duct screw (1).
- Install the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
