Inspect CKT 2294 (GRY) (LH) or CKT 2296 (DK GRN) (RH) for a short to battery positive voltage (B+). Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit OK?

Replace the rear heated seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .

Is the rear heated seat back replacement complete?

  1. Disconnect the rear heated seat module connector C1.
  2. Connect a DMM from the rear heated seat module connector C1 cavity C (PNK) (LH) or (BRN) (RH) to ground.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 12

Replace the rear heated seat module. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .

Is the rear heated seat module replacement complete?

Repair the short to ground in CKT 1617 (LT GRN) (LH) or CKT 1629 (GRY) (RH). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Replace the rear heated seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .

Is the rear heated seat cushion replacement complete?

Replace the rear heated seat switch. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.

Is the rear heated seat switch replacement complete?

Repair the short to battery positive voltage (B+) in CKT 2294 (GRY) (LH) or CKT 2296 (DK GRN) (RH) between the rear heated seat module and the rear heated seat cushion. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
