  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Check the rear fuse block IGN 3 RR Fuse for an open.

Is the IGN 3 RR Fuse OK?

--

Go to Step 5

Repair the short to ground in CKT 41 (BRN). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

--

Go to Step 4

Replace the IGN 3 RR Fuse.

Is the fuse replacement complete?

  1. Disconnect the LH front heated seat module connector C1.
  2. Disconnect the RH front heated seat module connector C1.
  3. Disconnect the LH rear heated seat module connector C1.
  4. Disconnect the RH rear heated seat module connector C1.
  5. Disconnect the rear integration module (RIM) connector C1.
  6. Connect a DMM from the rear integration module connector C1 cavity B5 (YEL) to ground.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Repair the short to ground in CKT 182 (YEL). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Replace the rear integration module (RIM). Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

  1. Disconnect the front heated seat module connector C1.
  2. Backprobe the front heated seat module connector C1 with a DMM from cavity B (ORN) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 3

Backprobe the front heated seat module connector C1 with a DMM from cavity B (ORN) to cavity E (BLK).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position .
  2. Backprobe the front heated seat module connector C1 with a DMM from cavity A (BRN) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 5

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Connect a DMM from the front heated seat module connector C1 cavity C (PPL) (LH) or (PPL/BLK) (RH) to ground.
  3. Press the front heated seat switch.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

  1. Disconnect the front heated seat switch connector.
  2. Connect a DMM from the front heated seat module connector C1 cavity C (PNK) (LH) or (PNK/BLK) (RH) to the front heated seat switch connector cavity C (PNK) (LH) or (PNK/BLK) (RH).

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 7

  1. Connect a DMM from the front heated seat switch cavity C (PNK) (LH) or (PNK/BLK) (RH) to cavity D (BLK).
  2. Press the front heated seat switch.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Repair the open in CKT 350 (BLK) between the front heated seat switch and S321. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the front heated seat module connector C2.
  2. Disconnect the front heated seat module connector C3.
  3. Connect a DMM from the front heated seat module connector C3 cavity A to cavity B.

Is the resistance within the specified value?

1.5-10 ohms

Connect a DMM from the front heated seat module connector C2 cavity A to cavity B.

Is the resistance within the specified value?

1.5-10 ohms

Connect a DMM from the front heated seat module connector C2 cavity C to cavity D.

Important: If the resistance is measured with the seat still warm, the resistance may vary outside of the specified range since the thermistor resistance varies with temperature.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

850 - 1150 ohms

Replace the front heated seat module. Refer to Heater Module Replacement .

Is the front heated seat module replacement complete?

Check HTDSTLF Fuse (LH) or HTDSTRF Fuse (RH) for an open.

Is HTDSTLF Fuse (LH) or HTDSTRF Fuse (RH) OK?

Repair the short to ground in CKT 2440 (ORN) (LH) or CKT 2540 (ORN) (RH). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Replace HTDSTLF Fuse (LH) or HTDSTRF Fuse (RH).

Is the fuse replacement complete?

Repair the open in CKT 2440 (ORN) (LH) or CKT 2540 (ORN) (RH) between the rear fuse block and the front heated seat module. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 550 (BLK) between the LH front heated seat module and S313 (LH) or CKT 650 (BLK) between the RH front heated seat module and S315 (RH). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 41 (BRN) between the rear fuse block and the front heated seat module. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 1501 (PNK) (LH) or CKT 1503 (PNK/BLK) (RH) between the front heated seat module and the front heated seat switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
