Lumbar Component Replacement - Power AL2

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the seat back trim cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Trim Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connection from the module.

  3. Object Number: 295241  Size: SH
  4. Drill out the rivets that retain the module to the bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 295241  Size: SH
  1. Install the module to the bracket with the self-tapping fasteners or rivets.
  2. Reconnect the electrical connector.
  3. Install the seat back trim cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Trim Replacement .

Lumbar Component Replacement - Power AC9

Removal Procedure

  1. Adjust the seat forward and up.
  2. Remove the seat back trim cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Trim Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 295061  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect both of the air line connectors from the lumbar module.

  5. Object Number: 295080  Size: SH
  6. Remove the seat cover J channels from the seat frame as needed in order to access the module wiring.
  7. Release the wire retainers on the main module wiring harness.
  8. Disconnect the main module wiring harness electrical connector from under the seat and gently pull the harness through the seat frame.
  9. Disconnect the electrical connector and single air line coming from the pump motor to the adaptive lumbar module.
  10. Cut the straps retaining the adaptive lumbar module to the wire seat back frame.
  11. Disconnect the lumbar module from the wire seat back frame.

Installation Procedure

  1. Clip the lumbar module on the seat back wire frame.
  2. Secure the lumbar module wire seat back frame with the straps.
  3. Connect the single air line and the electrical connector into the pump motor to the lumbar module.
  4. Route the main wiring harness through the seat back wire frame to the underside of the seat.
  5. Install the wiring harness retainers and reconnect the electrical connector (under the seat frame).

  6. Object Number: 295085  Size: SH
  7. Install the seat back J channels onto the seat back frame.

  8. Object Number: 295061  Size: SH
  9. Connect both of the air line connectors onto the adaptive lumbar module.
  10. Operate the recliner assembly forward and back while checking for interference with the module wiring and the air line connections.
  11. Install the seat back trim cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Trim Replacement .
