Removal Procedure
- Mark the location
of the hinges (upper and lower) on the door.
- Remove the door
trim panel. Refer to
Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to
Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Remove the check link arm from the door hinge pillar. Refer to
Door Check Link Replacement
.
- Disconnect the electrical connections from the door wiring harness.
- Remove the rubber conduit and wiring harness from the door.
- Support the door.
- Remove the hinge-to-door nuts.
- Remove the door with the aid from an assistant.
Installation Procedure
- Install the door
to the hinges with the aid from an assistant.
Important: When installing the door to the hinge, it may be necessary to hold the
stud plate from falling into the door until the nuts are installed.
- Install the hinge-to-door nuts.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Locate the marks
on the door and tighten the nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 34 N·m (25 lb ft).
- Route the wiring harness and conduit into the door.
- Connect the door wiring harness electrical connectors.
- Install the check link arm to the door hinge pillar. Refer to

- Install the water deflector. Refer to
Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement

- Install the door trim panel. Refer to
Door Trim Panel Replacement
