Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement

    3. Object Number: 507065 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the outside door handle rod (1) by opening the retainer (2).

    4. Object Number: 108010 Size: SH
  4. Remove the rear access plug (1) in order to remove the rear door handle nut.

    5. Object Number: 105439 Size: SH
  5. Remove the 2 nuts (2).
  6. Remove the door handle (1) from the door.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 105439 Size: SH
  1. Install the outside door handle (1) into the door.
  2. Align the studs through the holes in the door .

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the outside door handle nuts (2).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  4. Install the rear access plug (1).

    5. Object Number: 105412 Size: SH
  5. Push up on the door handle rod (1) to remove play and install into the clip (2) on the door latch assembly.

    6. Important: Inspect for the proper operation of the door handle before installing the water deflector and the door trim panel.

  6. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
  7. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement
