Was the entire Automatic Day/Night Mirrors System Check performed?

Go to Automatic Day-Night Mirrors System Check

1. Disconnect the automatic day/night mirror connector.
2. Disconnect the Driver Door Module connector C1.
3. Connect a DMM from the automatic day/night mirror connector cavity 4 (GRY/BLK) to the Driver Door Module connector C1 cavity 9 (GRY).

Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 7

Connect a DMM from the automatic day/night mirror connector cavity 5 (PNK) to the Driver Door Module connector C1 cavity 10 (PNK).

Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 8

1. Reconnect the Driver Door Module connector C1.
2. Disconnect the Driver Door Module connector C4.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
4. Place the automatic day/night mirror switch in an ON position.
5. Connect a DMM from the Driver Door Module connector C4 cavity 2 (BRN/BLK) to cavity 3 (BRN).

Refer to Measuring Voltage in Wiring Systems.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

0-1.2 V

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Replace the LH mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement in Doors.

Is the LH mirror replacement complete?

Replace the Driver Door Module Door Control Module Replacement in Doors.

Is the Driver Door Module replacement complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1690 (BRN/BLK) between the automatic day/night mirror and the Driver Door Module. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1691 (BRN) between the automatic day/night mirror and the Driver Door Module. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
