Check that the GDO is fully seated in the overhead console.

Is GDO installed properly?

  1. Remove GDO from overhead console. Refer to Garage Door Opener Replacement .
  2. Check for battery voltage from C2 terminal 3 of connector to ground with a DMM.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10.5-15 Volts

Check for ground at C2 terminal 1 of connector with a DMM.

Is a ground present?

0-0.03 Volts

Check for battery voltage from C1 terminal 13 of overhead console flatwire harness to ground.

Is battery voltage present?

10.5-15 Volts

Check for ground at C1 terminal 12 of overhead console flatwire harness to headliner connector.

Is a ground present?

0-0.03 Volts

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 253 (BRN) from C305 terminal A2 to C2 terminal A10 of rear fuse block.
