- Turn ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the cruise control module connector.
- Turn ignition switch to ON.
- Connect a DMM between the cruise control module connector terminal
D and ground.
- Depress the CANCEL switch.
Is the voltage 0 with the switch depressed and within the specified
range with the switch released?

- Disconnect the cruise control switch connector.
- Using a DMM set to ohms scale, measure the resistance between
the cruise control switch connector (cruise control switch harness side) terminals
E and F while depressing and holding the CANCEL switch.

| Repair short to voltage on CKT 696 (LT GRN).

- Check the cruise control switch connector for poor terminal contact.
- If OK, replace the cruise control switch. Refer to
Cruise Control Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle
in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
