Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper trunk trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.

  2. Object Number: 296909  Size: SH
  3. Remove the fasteners retaining the navigation data processor to the bracket.
  4. Gently slide the navigation data processor out of the mounting bracket until the electrical connectors can be removed.

  5. Object Number: 296924  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  7. Remove the navigation data processor.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the navigation data processor far enough into the mounting bracket that the electrical connectors can be connected.

  2. Object Number: 296924  Size: SH
  3. Connect the electrical connectors.
  4. Install the navigation data processor completely into the mounting bracket.

  5. Object Number: 296909  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the fasteners to the navigation data processor and bracket assembly.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  8. Install the upper trunk trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
