1. Connect scan tool.
2. View IPC Data List menu.

Is the engine oil life within the specified range?

0-10 %

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Replace the PCM. Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement in Engine Controls.

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Instrument Cluster System Check

1. Press the INFO UP or DOWN button to display ENGINE OIL LIFE.
2. Press and hold the INFO RESET button.

Does the ENGINE OIL LIFE reset to 100 %?

Go to Step 5

Go to Instrument Panel Cluster Control Switch Inoperative - INFO RESET

Find out last engine oil change mileage.

Has it been approximately 3000 miles since the last oil change?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 3

Change engine oil and reset engine oil life.

Is the repair complete?
