IPC Power, Ground, and Class 2

The IPC receives battery positive voltage from the underhood junction block I/P fuse, via circuit 440 (ORN) to connector C2 terminal A1. The IPC receives ignition voltage (ACC and ON) from the rear junction block IGN1 fuse, via circuit 1039 (PNK) to connector C2 terminal A3.

The IPC receives all class 2 messages on circuit 1807 (PPL) at connector C1 terminal B8 and connector C1 terminal B8.

Important: The IPC receives ignition status from the Dash Integration Module (DIM), via the class 2 serial data line. If the IPC can not communicate with the DIM, the IPC will not operate properly.

the IPC is connected to ground via circuit 351 (BLK/WHT) at connector C2 terminals B6 and circuit 450 (BLK) connector C2 terminal B7.

IPC Control Switches

The RH IPC switches are grounded by circuit 451 (BLK/WHT). The LH IPC control switches are grounded by circuit 351(BLK/WHT).

ENG/MET Button

The English/Metric switch, when pressed, grounds circuit 881 (LT BLU) thus indicating to the IPC to switch the displays unit of measure.

DSPL MODE Button

The DSPL Mode switch, when pressed , grounds circuit 893 (PNK) thus indicating to the IPC to activate or deactivate the reflective speed display and/or gauge backlighting and pointers.

RESET TRIP A/B Button

This button consist of the Trip A/B switch and Trip Reset switch.

    • The Trip Reset switch when pressed, grounds circuit 376 (LT GRN) thus indicating to the IPC to reset the selected trip odometer.
    • The Trip A/B switch when pressed, grounds circuit 894 (DK BLU) thus indicating to the IPC to switch the trip displays.

ON/OFF Button

This button when pressed, grounds circuit 1358 (DK GRN/WHT) thus indicating to the IPC to activate or deactivate the DIC display, also this button is used in the personalization programming mode.

INFO RESET Button

This button when pressed, grounds circuit 1816 (ORN) thus indicating to the IPC to reset the selected information.

    • The INFO Up switch when pressed, grounds circuit 1544 (BRN/BLK) thus indicating to the IPC to scroll up through the DIC information.
    • The INFO Down switch when pressed, grounds circuit 1545 (PNK/BLK) thus indicating to the IPC to scroll down through the DIC information.
