Removal Procedure
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Note the orientation of the speaker electrical connector.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Remove the speaker.
Installation Procedure
- Install the speaker into the door with the electrical connector oriented as noted during removal.
- Install the four bolts.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the 4 speaker bolts to 1.8 N·m (16 lb in).
Important: If the vehicle is equipped with door-mounted tweeter speakers, ensure that the proper harness connector is connected to the proper speaker.
