Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to
Rear Seat Cushion Replacement
in Seats.
- Remove the rear seat back. Refer to
Rear Seat Back Replacement
in Seats.
- Remove the electronics bay board retaining nut closest to the
radio amplifier.
- Disconnect the electrical
connectors from the radio amplifier.
- Remove the screws retaining the radio amplifier to the mounting
bracket.
- Gently press the loosened electronics bay board rearward to allow
for the removal of the radio amplifier.
- Remove the radio amplifier from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the radio amplifier
to the vehicle.
- Connect the electrical connectors to the radio amplifier.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws
to retain the radio amplifier to the mounting bracket.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Tighten the nut to retain the electronics bay board to the vehicle.
- Install the rear seat back. Refer to
Rear Seat Back Replacement
in Seats.
- Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to
Rear Seat Cushion Replacement
in Seats.
