DEFINITION: This table diagnoses inoperative courtesy lamps when a door or doors are opened. It assumes that the courtesy lamps operate properly with the interior lamp switch and keyless entry.

Was the entire Interior Lights System Check performed?

Are the courtesy lamps inoperative when all doors are open?

1. Disconnect the suspect door lock actuator connector.
2. Connect a fused jumper between the appropriate door lock actuator connector cavities:

•	LH front: cavities A (TAN) and D (BLK/WHT)

•	RH front: cavities D (DK BLU) and A (BLK/WHT).

•	LH rear: cavities A (DK BLU) and D (TAN/WHT).

•	RH rear: cavities D (DK BLU) and A (BLK/WHT).

Do the appropriate courtesy lights turn on?

Go to Step 4

1. Disconnect the suspect door module connector C2.
2. Connect a DMM from the appropriate door module connector C2 cavity to the appropriate door lock actuator connector cavity:

•	LH front: cavity C (TAN) to cavity A (TAN)

•	RH front: cavity C (DK BLU) to cavity D (DK BLU)

•	LH rear: cavity C (DK BLU) to cavity A (DK BLU)

•	RH rear: cavity C (DK BLU) to cavity D (DK BLU)

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 9

Connect a DMM from the appropriate door module connector C2 cavity to the appropriate door lock actuator connector cavity:

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 10

Replace the suspect door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement in Doors.

Is the door module replacement complete?

Replace the LH front door module (LFDM). Refer to Door Control Module Replacement in Doors.

Is the LFDM replacement complete?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Replace the suspect door lock actuator. Refer to Front Side Door Latch Replacement or Rear Side Door Latch Replacement in Doors.

Is the door lock actuator replacement complete?

Repair the open in the appropriate circuit between the door module and the door lock actuator:

Is the circuit repair complete?
