Is the RKE module inoperative from both transmitters?

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect the RKE module.
  3. Measure the voltage from ground to the RKE module connector terminal:
  4. • 1 (w/o AU5)
    • A (w/AU5)

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 4

Measure the voltage from the RKE module connector terminal:

    • 1 to 4 (w/o AU5)
    • A to D (w/AU5)

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 540 (ORN).

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1351 (BLK/WHT).

Replace the RKE module. Refer to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Replacement .

  1. Replace the transmitter battery. Refer to Transmitter Battery Replacement .
  2. Resynchronize the transmitter. Refer to Transmitter Synchronization .
