Removal Procedure
- Remove the instrument
panel (IP) upper trim pad. Refer to
Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement
.
- Remove the two fasteners, one on each side of the cluster.
- Disconnect the left (1) and right (2) drivers information
center (DIC) switch electrical connectors.
- Rotate the IP cluster trim (3) rearward from the top and
lift out of IP retainer.
- Remove the left and right drivers information center switches.

Installation Procedure
- Install the DIC switches to the IP cluster trim panel. Refer to
Driver Information Display Switch Replacement
.
- Slide the lower edge of
IP cluster trim plate down behind woodgrain trim.
- Reconnect the two electrical connectors (1,
2) to DIC switches.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the two
fasteners from the trim panel to IP retainer.
Tighten
Tighten the IP cluster trim panel fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the IP upper trim pad. Refer to
