Removal Procedure
- Open the hood.
- Remove the upper filler panel. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Upper in Body Front End.
- Remove 2 bolts retaining the headlamp to the headlamp mounting bracket.
- Pull the headlamp straight forward in order to disengage the locator pin at the outboard edge of the headlamp.
- Disconnect the headlamp connector from the forward lamp wiring harness.
Remove the headlamp from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the headlamp to the vehicle.
- Position the outboard portion of the headlamp in order to align the locator pin with the headlamp mounting bracket.
- Press the headlamp rearward in order to engage the locator pin with the headlamp mounting bracket.
- Install the 2 bolts that retain the headlamp to the headlamp mounting bracket.
- Install the upper filler panel. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Upper in Body Front End.
- Close the hood.
Connect the headlamp connector to the forward lamp wiring harness.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the headlamp mounting bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
