Was Power Sunroof System Check performed?

  1. Turn the ignition to RUN.
  2. Press the Power Sunroof Vent Switch to OPEN.

Does the sunroof open to the vent position?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 3

  1. Turn the ignition to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the 4-way electrical harness connector C1 from the Sunroof Control Module.
  3. Turn the ignition to RUN.
  4. Measure the voltage from connector C1, terminal A, to ground.

Is the voltage within the range specified?

10 - 15 V

Go to Step 4

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

Measure the voltage across terminals A and D of the Sunroof Control Module harness connector C1.

Is the voltage within the range specified?

10 - 15 V

Go to Step 5

  1. Turn the ignition to OFF.
  2. Reconnect the harness connector C1 to the Power Sunroof module.
  3. Turn the ignition to RUN.
  4. Measure the voltage across terminals A and B of the sunroof harness connector C2 at the motor assembly while moving the sunroof slide switch to OPEN.

Ignoring polarity, is the voltage within range specified?

9 - 15 V

Go to Step 12

  1. Turn the ignition to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the harness connector C1 from the Overhead Console Sunroof Switch.
  3. Turn the ignition to RUN.
  4. Measure the resistance from terminal 2 of the sunroof switch harness connector C1 to ground.

Is the resistance within range specified?

0 - 3 ohms

Go to Step 8

  1. Turn the ignition to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the harness connector C1 from the Overhead Console Sunroof Switch.
  3. Turn the ignition to RUN.
  4. Using a fused jumper wire, jumper terminal 2 to terminal 5 of the Overhead Console Sunroof Switch harness connector C1.

Did the sunroof open?

Go to Step 13

  1. Turn the ignition to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the harness connector C2 from the Sunroof Control Module.
  3. Measure the resistance from terminal 6 of the Sunroof Control Module harness connector C2 to terminal 5 of the Overhead Console Sunroof Switch harness connector C1.

Is the resistance within range specified?

0 - 3 ohms

Go to Step 9

Replace the Sunroof Control Module.

Is the repair complete?

Repair open in CKT 100 between the Overhead Console Sunroof Switch and the Sunroof Control Module.

Repair open in ground CKT 1050.

Replace the Power Sunroof Motor Assembly.
