Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 107163 Size: SH
  1. Remove the sunroof glass panel. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 107167 Size: SH
  2. Remove the sunroof sunshade. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 288098 Size: SH
  3. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

    4. Object Number: 107682 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the sunroof-to-body wiring harness connector.

    5. Object Number: 107683 Size: SH
  5. Remove the wiring harness from the retainer clips.

    6. Object Number: 107154 Size: SH
  6. Remove the tie wraps (2) and disconnect the drain hoses (3) from the four corners of the sunroof module.

    7. Object Number: 107161 Size: SH
  7. Loosen the two center bolts (1).
  8. Remove the six sunroof module mounting bolts (2).

  9. With the aid of a helper to hold the sunroof module up, remove the two center bolts (1).
  10. Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the sunroof module into the vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 107161 Size: SH
  2. With the aid of a helper to hold the sunroof module up, install the two center bolts (1).

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the six sunroof module mounting bolts (2).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the sunroof module retainer bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  4. Connect the four drain hoses (3) and install new tie wraps (2).

  5. Connect the sunroof-to-body wiring harness connector.

    6. Object Number: 107683 Size: SH
  6. Route the wiring harness along the rear pillar and secure it into the retaining clips.

    7. Object Number: 288098 Size: SH
  7. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  8. Install the sunroof sunshade panel. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .

  9. Install the sunroof glass panel. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
