Was the Outside Mirrors System Check performed?

  1. Turn ON the ignition switch.
  2. Connect a scan tool to the Data Link Connector (DLC).
  3. Select DATA from the LH Front Door Module (DDM) DATA LIST.
  4. Operate the express fold switch on the LH front power window switch.

Does the scan tool indicate that the switch is ON when operated and OFF when inactive?

  1. Disconnect the Front Door Module connector C4.
  2. Connect a fused jumper from Battery Positive Voltage (B+) to the Front Door Module connector C4 terminal 2, CKT 190 (PNK).
  3. Connect a fused jumper from the Front Door Module connector C4 terminal 1, CKT 191 (ORN) to ground.

Does the motor run?

Check for an open or short to ground in CKT 190 (PNK).

Is the suspect wiring OK?

Check for an open or short to ground in the appropriate wiring CKT 191 (ORN).

Is the suspect wiring OK?

Replace the appropriate mirror power fold motor. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .

Is the motor replacement complete?

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check .

Replace the Front Door Module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .

Is the Front Door Module replacement complete?

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check .

Replace the LH front power window switch. Refer to Front Door Switch Replacement .

Is the LH front power window switch replacement complete?

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check .

Repair the suspect wiring. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?
