Door Hinge Replacement Front

Removal Procedure

Notice: The door hinge components are important attaching parts that could affect the performance of vital components and systems, and/or could result in major repair expense. Each part must be replaced with an equivalent part of the same part number or with an equivalent part if replacement becomes necessary. Do not use replacement parts of lesser quality or substitute design. Torque values must be used as specified during reassembly to assure proper retention of this part.

  1. Remove the door. Refer to Door Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 334841  Size: SH
  3. Mark the position of the hinge on the body.
  4. Remove the hinge bolts (2) from the hinge (1).
  5. Remove the hinge (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105453  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the hinge (1) to the body. Align with mark made during removal.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the hinge-to-body bolts (2) to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  3. Install the door. Refer to Door Replacement .
  4. Adjust the door for proper alignment. Refer to Door Noise Repair .

  1. Open the front door to access the rear door hinges.

  2. Object Number: 334844  Size: SH
  3. Mark the position of the hinge to the body and the door.
  4. Remove the hinge-to-door nuts.
  5. Remove the hinge-to-body bolts.
  6. Remove the hinge.

  1. Install the hinge to the body. Align the hinge with the marks made during disassembly.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the hinge-to-body bolts (2) to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  3. Install the hinge-to-door nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the hinge-to-door nuts to 34 N·m (25 lb ft).

  5. Adjust the door for proper alignment. Refer to Door Noise Repair .
