Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 105348  Size: SH
  1. Drain power steering fluid from reservoir.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the pressure switch.
  4. Remove the power steering pressure switch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105348  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the power steering pressure switch.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the pressure switch to 10 N·m (8 lb ft)

  3. Connect the power steering pressure switch electrical connection.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Fill the power steering reservoir. Refer to Refilling the Power Steering System .
  6. Check for power steering fluid leaks.
