Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 344288  Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Important: Before disconnecting the air hose from the intake air filter or the air compressor, clean the components and the surrounding area to prevent dirt and other foreign material from entering the air compressor.

  3. Disconnect the intake air filter from the body rail and the air hose.
  4. Disconnect the vehicle harness connector from the air compressor connector.
  5. Remove two nuts, two bolts, and the air compressor assembly from the vehicle.

  7. Disconnect the air tube from the air dryer.
  8. Remove the bolt and the harness tie, with the air tube, from the heat shield.
  9. Remove three bolts and the heat shield from the air compressor bracket.

  11. Disconnect the air hose from the air compressor assembly at two places.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 344306  Size: SH
  1. Connect the air hose to the air compressor assembly at two places.

  2. Object Number: 344303  Size: SH
  3. Install the heat shield with three bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten three bolts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  5. Connect the air tube to the air dryer.
  6. Install the air tube and harness tie on the heat shield with the bolt.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  8. Install the compressor assembly onto the vehicle with two bolts and two nuts.
  9. Tighten

        • Tighten two bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
        • Tighten two nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
  10. Connect the air compressor connector to the vehicle harness connector.
  11. Connect the intake air filter to the air hose and the body rail.
  12. Lower the vehicle.
