Removal Procedure
  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the upper filler panel.
  3. Remove the cross vehicle brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace in Body Front End.
  4. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery in Engine Electrical.
  5. Disconnect the surge tank hoses.

    6. Object Number: 72196 Size: SH
  6. Remove the surge tank.
  7. Transfer the coolant level sensor to the new surge tank.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 72196 Size: SH
  1. Install the surge tank.
  2. Connect the surge tank hoses.
  3. Install the battery. Refer to Battery in Engine Electrical.
  4. Install the cross vehicle brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace in Body Front End.
  5. Install the upper filler panel.
  6. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
