DECK LID CONTACTS REAR WINDOW WHEN OPENED (INSTALL BUMPER)

SUBJECT: DECK LID CONTACTS BACK WINDOW WHEN OPENED (INSTALL DECK LID BUMPER AND CLAMP ASSEMBLY)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992 "K" MODEL

Some 1992 Sevilles built before VIN breakpoint 804347 may experience a condition of the deck lid contacting the back window when fully opened. This condition may be caused by the deck lid hinge bumpers.

To repair this condition install deck lid bumper and clamp assembly, P/N 3536231 (two per vehicle) on each hinge arm and secure with clamp. Refer to Figure 1. After clamps are installed, cut off unused part of clamp. The original bumpers should be left in the car.

For vehicle repaired under warranty use: Labour .2 hour.
