Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2009 🢒 STS 🢒 Seats 🢒 Seat Hardware, Trim, and Upholstery 🢒 Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 792503 Size: SH
  2. Remove the split fold seat pivot nut (1).
  3. Remove the seat back from the seat frame.
  4. Remove the head restraints. Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Replacement.
  5. Remove the head restraint retainers. Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Retainer Replacement.

    6. Object Number: 792499 Size: SH
  6. Remove the push in retainers (1) retaining the seat back cover to the seat frame.
  7. Remove the armrest. Refer to Rear Seat Armrest Replacement.

    8. Object Number: 792494 Size: SH
  8. Remove the push in retainers (1) from the front of the seat back frame retaining the seat back cover to the seat frame.
  9. Unhook all J channels from the seat frame.
  10. Remove the seat back trim cover from the frame.

Installation Procedure
  1. Position the seat back cover to the foam pad.
  2. Position the foam cushion and pad to the seat back frame.
  3. Work the cover edges over the foam cushion.

    4. Object Number: 792494 Size: SH
  4. Install the push in retainers (1) to the front of the seat cover.
  5. Install the armrest. Refer to Rear Seat Armrest Replacement.

    6. Object Number: 792499 Size: SH
  6. Install the push in retainers (1) to the back of the seat back cover.
  7. Install the J channels to retain the rear seat back cover and foam pad to the seat back frame.
  8. Install the seat back to the seat frame.

    9. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 792503 Size: SH
  9. Install the split fold seat pivot nut (1) and tighten to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).
  10. Use the following procedures if the seat back is equipped with center head restraints:
    11. • Align the head restraint mounting holes with the seat covers.
    • Cut holes in the seat back cover in order to install the head restraint retainers
  11. Install the head restraint retainers. Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Retainer Replacement.
  12. Install the seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement.
  13. Install the head restraints. Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Replacement.
