Condition
Some customers may comment that the front passenger airbag status indicator displays OFF or switches from ON to OFF with a passenger in the seat.
Cause
This condition may be caused by the Passenger Presence System in the right front seat cushion.
Correction
Technicians are to replace the passenger presence system module in the right front seat. Refer to the Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence System Replacement-Front procedure in SI. Also refer to the Passenger Presence System Programming and Setup and the Passenger Presence System Preload Test procedures in SI for more information.
