The internal amplifier circuitry is monitored for temperature. If the amplifier senses an over-heat condition higher than 95°C (203°F) of the internal circuitry, the amplifier will shut down until the internal circuitry cools below 90°C (194°F).
• | Radio ON. |
• | Battery voltage must be between 9-16 volts. |
Amplifier senses an over-heat condition higher than 95°C (203°F) of the internal circuitry.
The audio amplifier will shut down and all speakers will be inoperative.
• | The condition responsible for setting the DTC no longer exists. |
• | A history DTC will clear once 100 consecutive malfunction-free ignition cycles have occurred. |
Extended use or extremely high volume especially in warm weather conditions may cause this DTC to set. Under these conditions it may be normal for this DTC to set to prevent permanent damage to the audio amplifier circuitry.

An internal temperature sensor monitors the TV antenna module circuit board temperature.
• | TV ON. |
• | Battery voltage must be between 9-16 volts. |
The TV antenna module senses an over-heat condition higher than 95°C (203°F) of the internal circuitry.
The TV system is deactivated when the DTC is present.
• | The condition responsible for setting the DTC no longer exists. |
• | The DTC clears after the TV function has been cycled between OFF and ON. |
Extended use, especially in warm weather conditions may cause this DTC to set. Under these conditions it may be normal for this DTC to set to prevent permanent damage to the TV antenna module internal circuitry.
