Preliminary Procedure

Remove the rear compartment lid inner trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .

License Lamp Assembly

Tip

1. Disconnect all electrical connectors before attempting removal.
2. If only replacing the bulb, turn the bulb socket assembly and pull it out of the lamp assembly. This can be done from inside of the rear compartment without removing the lamp assembly.
3. Release the retaining clip and push it outwards to remove the lamp assembly.
4. To reinstall the clip make sure the lamp assembly is pushed in and aligned correctly.
