Makes 馃 Cadillac 馃 2005 馃 STS 馃 Engine 馃 Engine Electrical 馃 Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Installation

    Important: Follow the procedure sequence in order to prevent drive belt mis-alignment and/or possible damage/distortion to the components.


    Object Number: 1392406 Size: SH
  1. Place the A/C compressor bracket in position to the cylinder block.
  2. Loosely install the A/C compressor bracket bolts.

    3. Object Number: 1392405 Size: SH
  3. Place the A/C compressor in position to the A/C compressor bracket.
  4. Loosely install the A/C compressor bolts through the A/C compressor and A/C compressor bracket into the engine block.

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Tighten the A/C compressor bracket center bolt.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the A/C compressor bracket center bolt to 50 N路m (37 lb ft).

  6. Install the A/C compressor bracket upper bolt.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the A/C compressor bracket upper bolt to 50 N路m (37 lb ft).

  7. Install the A/C compressor bracket lower bolt.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the A/C compressor bracket lower bolt to 50 N路m (37 lb ft).

  8. Install the A/C compressor front upper and lower bolts.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the A/C compressor front upper and lower bolts to 23 N路m (18 lb ft).

  9. Install the A/C compressor rear upper and lower bolts.

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the A/C compressor rear upper and lower bolts to 23 N路m (18 lb ft).
