Sunroof Drain Inspection and Cleaning Fixed Roof Window
Inspection and Cleaning Procedure
Ultra View roofs have 1 drain, located under the roof side trim covers, in each rear body pillar.
- Lower the rear headliner. Refer to
Headlining Trim Panel Replacement.
- Remove the rear stationary window. Refer to
Sunroof Window Replacement.
- Pour a small amount of water into the sunroof module drain trough. Inspect for a plugged or disconnected drainage system. If the water flow is restricted, perform the following steps:
Warning: Refer to Safety Glasses and Compressed Air Warning in the Preface section.
| Note: Use care when using compressed air to clear the sunroof drain hose. Do not exceed 241 kPa (35 psi).

• | Use a flexible wire or 241 kPa (35 psi) of compressed air to clear any debris plugging the drain system. |
• | Inspect the drainage system for proper water drainage. |
- Install the rear stationary window. Refer to
Sunroof Window Replacement.
- Install the rear headliner. Refer to
Headlining Trim Panel Replacement.
Sunroof Drain Inspection and Cleaning Rear Vent Window
Inspection and Cleaning Procedure
- Move the rear window to the vent position.
- Pour a small amount of water into the sunroof module drain trough. Inspect for a plugged or disconnected drainage system. If the water flow is restricted, perform the following steps:

2.1. | Use a flexible wire or 241 kPa (35 psi) of compressed air to clear any material plugging the drain system. |
2.2. | Inspect the drainage system for proper water drainage. |
- Install the rear headliner, if necessary. Refer to
Headlining Trim Panel Replacement.
