The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some customers may comment the turn signals flash faster than normal or are inoperative. In that event, bulb replacement or socket replacment is available rather than replacing the complete lamp assembly.

Inspect the Turn Signal Bulb Sockets. If the bulb contacts appear to be overheating, replace the bulb socket. It is not necessary to replace the complete lamp assembly. The lens for the Fog Lamp needs to be removed from the lamp. There are several fasteners that hold the two pieces together. Once the lamp is opened, you will notice that the socket for the turn signal has its own connector. Disconnect the connector and install the new socket. The part number for the socket is 19120947 and can be found in group 2.596. The part number for the turn signal bulb is 15862271. Do not use any other bulbs.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
