Fuel Gauge Diagnosis (3.6L Engine) - keywords inop inoperative ip ipc

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Misdiagnoses may occur when investigating a fuel gauge concern as the result of Tech 2 software error. Software version 27.005 and previous versions will misidentify the primary and secondary fuel tank levels. It will display the primary tank fuel level as the secondary tank level and vice verse.

Engineering is aware of this concern and repair for future software releases is being investigated.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
