The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The vehicle may exhibit any of these DTCs P0010, P0011, P0013, P0014, P0020, P0021, P0023, P0024, P1011 P1012 P1013 P1014, P2088 P02089 P2090 P2091 P2092 P2093 P2094 P2095
Recommendation/Instructions:
Record snapshot and freeze frame data and send to Frank Guarino at [email protected]. DO NOT reprogram or replace the ECM. This concern may be caused by camshaft position actuator solenoid valve (oil control valve or OCV) sticking due to bore distortion. If one camshaft position actuator solenoid valve is harder to insert in the bore than others, this may be an indication of bore distortion. These codes may also set due to other engine mechanical problems.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
