Generator F - Terminal DTC - keywords P0622 P0625

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

If the vehicle exhibits P0622 and/or P0625 (Generator F-Terminal Code) perform the following.

Instruct customer to wait a few seconds after start/crank vehicle before using additional electrical loads (e.g. A/C, rear window defrost, power windows, etc.)

Check for electrical system wiring/connection problems and repair if found.

Check for charging system low voltage/low charge condition and repair if found.

Two cases possible:

1. Isolated Intermittent Issue.

Fault does not reset during test drive

Note the number of failures recorded in history using the Tech II.

Clear code and return car to customer.

Do not replace or reprogram the ECM. There are no ECM hardware or software issues or changes associated with this condition

2. Hard Failure

Fault repeats during test drive.

Follow diagnostics in SI.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
