Unexplained Chime When Shifting From Park To Drive - keywords AM0 audible folding power rear seat shift warning

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some customers may comment they hear 3 or 4 chimes when the vehicle is shifted out of PARK (P).

On vehicles equipped with a 3rd Row Power Folding Seat, the cause may be that it is not completely unfolded into the seating position. A chime will sound when the vehicle is shifted out of PARK (P) indicating that the seat is not ready for a passenger. Press and hold the seat switch until the seat travel stops.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
