Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment the power liftgate will not activate using the keyless entry transmitter, or that they must press and hold the power liftgate button on the transmitter for a lengthy period of time to trigger the operation. The customer may perceive this concern to be intermittent.
Recommendation/Instructions:
It is necessary by design to press and hold the power liftgate button on the transmitter for 1 second to activate it. Ensure the customer understands this. Engineering is investigating a possible change to the press and hold feature. Do not attempt a repair for these concerns.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
