Rear Seat Entertainment System Display Inop or Blue - keywords disc display DVD player radio

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some owners may comment that during a single trip or ignition cycle, if the DVD is ejected and re-inserted, then the rear DVD screen will be blue and will not show the DVD video.

This is normal operation and no repairs should be made. Advise the owner to do one of the following:

1. Change Radio Screen to DVD screen, press STOP button, press PLAY button
2. Turn off radio with POWER button, press POWER on, press PLAY button
3. Change radio audio source to alternate source (AM, FM, XM or AUX), press DVD source, press PLAY button
4. Use remote control and press DVD channel select

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
