DTC B1019: System Configuration ErrorDiagnostic Fault Information
Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle prior to using this diagnostic procedure.
Circuit/System Description
When calibrating the liftgate position, the lift gate module is placed in a functional state to learn the liftgate travel limits. DTC B1019 will set automatically as an indicator that the system is in learn mode and not as a fault indicator. Once the travel limits are learned, the calibration will exit and the DTC cleared. If the liftgate module does not exit learn mode, B1019 will remain current and indicate a fault.
Conditions for Running the DTC
The liftgate module is in calibration mode.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
DTC B1019 will set any time the liftgate module enters the calibration mode.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
The liftgate travel limits will be unlearned.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
| • | A current DTC B1019 will be cleared upon the successful exit of learn mode. |
| • | A history DTC will be cleared after 50 malfunction free ignition cycles or when a scan tool is used to clear DTCs. |

Circuit/System Verification
Perform the Liftgate Calibration Procedure. Refer to Liftgate Calibration Procedure. The liftgate module should learn the travel limits, exit the calibration mode, and DTC B1019 should clear.
