Service VME - Traction Control Light On, DTC C0192, Yaw Sensor Mounted Backwards - kw ABS control light MIL position TCS

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Concerns of traction control lamp on and DTC C0192 which do not respond to published diagnostics may have the yaw sensor mounted backwards. The yaw sensor is located under the RH front passenger seat, under the carpet on a bracket on the floor pan. The bottom of the sensor has an off-center locating pin and the bracket has a corresponding hole. When properly installed, the wire harness/connector should be facing the rear of the vehicle and the locating pin should be engaged in the hole.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
