Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1201077 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable (2). Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Disconnect the battery positive cable (1) from the battery.

    3. Object Number: 1296794 Size: SH
  3. Remove the battery heat shield. Refer to Battery Heat Shield Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1296795 Size: SH
  4. Remove the battery retainer bolt and battery retainer.
  5. Remove the battery from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1296795 Size: SH
  1. Install the battery into the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the battery retainer and bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the battery retainer bolt to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  3. Install the battery heat shield. Refer to Battery Heat Shield Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1201077 Size: SH
  4. Connect the battery positive cable (1) to the battery.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the battery cable bolt to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  5. Connect the battery negative cable (2). Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
