CHECK OIL LEVEL | This message indicates that a low oil level exists. To reset the CHECK OIL LEVEL message, the engine control module (ECM) must detect a temperature reduction of the engine coolant of at least 22°C (39°F) in between ignition cycles. The ECM uses the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor in order to detect the temperature of the engine coolant. Perform the following in order to reset the CHECK OIL LEVEL message:
