Engine Flywheel Replacement. Cadillac SRX 2004

For 1990-2009 cars only

Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Automatic Transmission - 5L40-E.
Remove the engine flywheel bolts and the flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Removal .
Clean and inspect the flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Cleaning and Inspection . If the flywheel teeth are damaged, inspect the starter for proper operation. Replace the starter if there is excessive wear or damage to the starter drive. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement in Engine Electrical.

Install the engine flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Installation .
Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Automatic Transmission - 5L40-E.
