Removal Procedure

  1. Turn the engine OFF.
  2. Apply parking brake and place the transmission into the lowest gear setting.

  3. Object Number: 700907  Size: SH
  4. Remove the screw behind the ashtray.
  5. Remove the HVAC control module trim plate by pulling outward on right and left side.

  6. Object Number: 756502  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the HVAC control module electrical connector.
  8. Disconnect the ash tray electrical connector.
  9. Remove the HVAC control module screws (1).

  10. Object Number: 756525  Size: SH
  11. Remove the HVAC control module.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 756525  Size: SH
  1. Install the HVAC control module into the trim plate.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the HVAC control module screws (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Connect the HVAC control module electrical connector.
  6. Connect the ash tray electrical connector.

  7. Object Number: 700907  Size: SH
  8. Install the HVAC control module trim plate by pressing trim until tabs engage.
  9. Install the screw behind the ashtray.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  11. Place the transmission in park and unapply the parking brake.
