SUBJECT: CHANGE OIL LIGHT REMAINS ILLUMINATED AFTER RESET (CHANGE PROM)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1993 "D" MODELS WITH 6.7L ENGINE (RPO LOS - VIN 7)

CONDITION:

--------- "Change Oil" lights on some 1993 model year Fleetwood vehicles (D Cars) equipped with 5.7L (L05, VIN 7) V8 engines may remain on (illuminated) although the reset procedure is followed.

CAUSE:

----- The throttle position sensor (TPS) parameter may be set too high.

CORRECTION:

---------- New PROMS have been released to address this condition. This bulletin covers all vehicles built through April 1993. Check scan I.D. before replacement.

Use the following chart to determine appropriate PROM replacement for vehicles with the above outlined condition.
