Some owners of 1993 Fleetwoods (RWD) may experience front fender molding gaps to the front fender.
This may be caused by the fender moving inboard during the assembly plant build process. This was corrected in production after and including VIN PR701300.
To repair this condition replace the existing molding assembly and clip with a new molding assembly. The new molding has a stud to attach to the fender. Order new molding assembly kits, P/N's 12513235 and 12513236, from GMSPO.
1. Remove fender molding from fender per Service Information Manual Section 10-5.
2. Remove lower spring from molding. Refer to Figure 1.
3. Remove attaching clip from fender and discard. Refer to Service Information Manual Section 10-5.
4. Refer to Figure 1, View A. Insert stud of new molding assembly into fender hole "B" and attach rear screws.
5. Install nut (part of new molding kit) to stud and torque to 3.5 Nm (2.6 lbs. ft.).
6. Attach lower spring.
Parts are expected to be available on April 12, 1993.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
