A/C EVAPORATOR CASE DRAIN DRIP INSTALL NEW DRAIN TUBES

SUBJECT: WATER LEAKS/DRIPS INTO PASSENGER SIDE FRONT COMPARTMENT (INSTALL NEW RUBBER DRAIN TUBE)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1993 FLEETWOOD BROUGHAMS

Some 1993 Fleetwood Broughams built before VIN breakpoint PR700785 may experience condensate water leaking into the passenger compartment (passenger side front floor area).

This may be found under conditions of extreme humidity when the air flow through the engine compartment can allow a small amount of condensate water to work past the seal of the evaporator drain tube. The water then could slowly drip or seep into the passenger side front compartment, generally wetting the carpet on the floor area near the transmission hump.

NOTE: If there is a large volume of water or any leakage noticed in the back seat, use normal diagnostic procedures to determine cause of the leak.

To correct this condition inspect the evaporator drain tube for blockage and clear as required. Install the 90' rubber drain tube over the existing tube, pointed downward, as illustrated. This will allow the water to drain down and away from the evaporator drain opening.
