SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ON A GAP OR SPACE BETWEEN THE I/P TOP PAD AND THE WOODGRAIN SPEAR MOLDING ON THE RIGHT HAND (PASSENGER) SIDE OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.
INTERFERENCE BETWEEN INSTRUMENT PANEL TOP COVER MOUNTING PAD AND LOCATING PIN.
1. REMOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL TOP COVER PAD AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION 8C OF THE 1993 SERVICE MANUAL.
2. REMOVE 3 MM OF MATERIAL FROM THE TAB ON THE I/P CARRIER DIRECTLY ABOVE THE TEMPERATURE SENSOR HOLE. ALSO REMOVE 3 MM OF MATERIAL FROM THE TOP PORTION OF THE RIGHT HAND GUIDE PIN. SEE FIGURE 1.
3. ELONGATE THE TWO HOLES IN THE RIGHT-HAND INSTRUMENT PANEL TOP COVER MOUNTING TAB BY REMOVING APPROXIMATELY 2 MM OF MATERIAL FROM THE AREA SHOWN IN FIGURE 2.
4. REINSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL TOP COVER PAD AND VERIFY FIT OF THE WOODGRAIN MOLDINGS TO THE TOP PAD.
