19933 LABOR TIME GUIDE FIRST REVISION

SUBJECT: 1993 LABOR TIME GUIDE FIRST REVISION

The 1993 Labor Time Guide (LTG) First Revision was shipped to you on February 26,1993.

The major change in this revision is found in the Electrical Section in the "Wiring and/or Connector" Labor Operations N6020 through N6580. An asterisk (*) appeals in each applicable spot instead of a time amount. A sample of the page is shown on the reverse side.

Other changes include:

o New art work for air conditioning and steering sections.

o Many new times in the automatic transaxle Hydra-Matic 4T80-E and 4T60-E sections.

o The change indicators listed in the foreword have been changed. The (box) and (star) symbols to denote time changes have been deleted Corporate-wide. The (solid circle) for new operations will remain.

The "Policy A" references have been removed from the Labor Time Guide since authorization is not required f6r most operations. There are, however, some Labor Operations which will still require authorization: Labor Operations J1880, K7000, Z7906, and Z8006 still require dealer management authorization. Labor Operations N0110, S0460, S0461, S0580, S0600 ,and SO601 require prior zone management authorization. These revisions apply to all model years. Please note these accordingly in your records.

All dealerships were sent one copy of the LTG microfiche unless additional copies were ordered. If additional copies are required, contact Lason Micrographics at (313) 597-5808.

If you have any questions or concerns about the LTG, please contact Ann Haener-Maghran at (313) 554-6946.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
